S.M.A.R.T. Programs
is a Learning Center unit that emphasizes study skills, mentoring,
academic resources and transition services for new and continuing undergraduates.
Learning and Life Skills Counselors
SMART counselors are professional staff, many of whom are UCR alumni. They help students sort out factors that affect their academic performance and connect them to the appropriate Learning Center services.
SMART counselors are knowledgeable of campus resources and refer students to service offices and to academic advisors.
