S.M.A.R.T. Programs
is a Learning Center unit that emphasizes study skills, mentoring, academic resources and transition services for new and continuing undergraduates.

Helping Students Adjust To University Life

SMART transition services address the needs of new freshmen and transfer students. We also serve any continuing students requesting assistance with meeting UCR expectations.

SMART Programs counselors work collaboratively with residence halls, Student Life, UCR's Colleges and other key offices to provide workshops and programs that aid in adjustment to university life.

The SMART Programs staff members play integral roles in the following types of orientation activities:
